6 million cards migration

Techno was contracted to project manage one of the major migrations in the Middle East, over 6 million active cards and 15 thousand merchants. It was from a third-party processing system to the PRIME licensed system installed in the AWS cloud in Frankfurt. At the time it may have been the first issuer cloud-based payment scheme processing operation.

The contract timetable was very tight. The client gave Techno seven months to complete the migration, from November through to May. There were eight stakeholders to co-ordinate and many unique challenges, because of the avant-garde, at the time, cloud implementation.

The success of the migration, so in part, due to three skills that Techno had honed over many years. Anticipation of potential risks and taking remedial action to mitigate them. Coordination of the eight multicultural stakeholders, Arabic, Greek, French, German, Finnish, East and West European. Communicate across the field.
